What documentation needs to be in a driver’s files?
Some of the documentation that is required
to be in a driver’s files includes the following:
- Application for employment
- Original motor vehicle record (MVR) which must have been requested within 30 days of the driver being hired.
- Road test or road test exception
- Background check
The following documents must be kept in the driver qualification files for three years:
- Medical certificate
- Documentation concerning any medical exemptions that may have been granted
- Motor vehicle record
- List of any driving violations
Other documents that may be required but are not applicable to all drivers include:
- Longer Combination Vehicle (LCV) Driver-Training Certificate
- Entry-level driver training certificate
